Things to beware of before deciding that you might need a mold inspection.  Have you been feeling sick, coming down with colds and other sinus symptoms more often than usual? 

Mold allergies can sometimes even include rashes, itchy eyes, nose bleeds, headaches, breathing difficulties.  People with weak immune symptoms are more susceptible to household mold growth.  Toxic mold can sometimes affect an elder or child first before affecting someone who has a strong immune system.

Sometimes people take it upon themselves to clean up the black mold that they’ve found.  However, sometimes after doing this people notice they are much sicker than they were before trying to remove the mold. 

It is very dangerous to attempt mold removal without following mold remediation guidelines, which can include containment setup with negative air pressure to avoid contaminating the rest of the home.  Without a containment, the mold flys through the air like a dandelion blowing in the wind.  Also, after breaking walls, the black mold becomes airborne and this is what causes major issues and sickness. 

Household mold for the most part is not visible to the eye except in high concentrations.  This is why it is very important to hire a professional mold inspector to assess the situation and to provide you with a plan of action that will not only eliminate the mold growth, but also provide a full report that can help you to ensure that the mold growth does not reoccur. 

Mold killer products are not advised as a solution to the mold growth.  Killing the mold is not removing the mold.  When mold is dead it can still produce mycotoxins, which still cause mold allergies and other symptoms.  If you have an elephant in your living room and you kill it, If you don’t remove it, your living room is going to become really stinky.
